Our Story

It All Started with a Vision, or maybe just a hair-brained idea...

 

In 2014, we had just moved to Wisconsin from Kansas. We sold our home that we thought we'd live in forever, sold our business, and left our close friends, for a FRESH START.

 

It was a less-than-ideal time for our family, one of brokenness and betrayal. 

 

Amidst all the brokenness and pain for our family, I came across this breath-taking photo of a lavender field and had this SURREAL SENSE OF PEACE. I had felt something I hadn’t in a while: JOY in the middle of pain!  

 

I knew in that moment, that God had met me here, in the deep utter places of darkness, pain, and brokenness. I knew if God could do that for me, He could do that for anyone. 

 

I set out on a journey to create a place where people can come, breathe in the sweet aroma of lavender, and reconnect with each other again, despite all life’s distractions.

Who knew this journey would develop into a two-year process that involved loads of research, hard work, and healing.  

 

Little did I know that as we wove together a business plan-- something our whole family could invest in, that we could do with our kids, teach them about agriculture and sustainability, and share the beauty of creation with anyone who comes to visit, it was weaving hope and NEW LIFE and healing back into our lives.

 

In August 2015, we became the proud owners of 40 acres of land, and an adorable cute, abandoned farmhouse! We salvaged what we could because I wanted to savor as much history to the property as we could but eventually had to bulldoze the home down. 

​

We started building our farm store in winter 2016 and work continued all winter and all spring of 2017. We poured our sweat, hard work and lives into the beginnings of this farm, working long hours as we did much of the finishing work in our building ourselves so could open in time.  In June 2017, we officially opened after we planted over 600 cherry trees & 4000 lavender plants by hand. Fast forward to 2025, we have over 18,000 lavender plants and 8 acres of wildflowers, and continue to develop new areas of beauty each year.

We started this lavender farm with YOU in mind. We UNDERSTAND the STRESS and HURDLES life throws. Sometimes, people need a space to DECOMPRESS

9 YEARS LATER, we've DEVELOPED hundreds of products with our own Lavender Essential Oils, to help anyone with stress in their lives, with skin issues or sleeplessness and anxiety. Simply because that is nature's way of healing.

​

Although healing for our family looks different today than most people would expect as we have waded through the murky waters of divorce, Aron and I continue not as a married couple, but as business partners, each with unique roles to keep our farm going as I still believe that God is not done with this land or with NEW LIFE LAVENDER.

 

It continues to be a safe place, a refuge of hope, peace and rest for the weary soul.
